Sound Engineering

 I operated Cubase and the mixing console whilst the band played the song "Decepticon" which i recorded. I started with rigging up the microphones to the instruments so I could capture the sound in Cubase and linked them with XLR cables to the wall box in numerical order of kick, overhead, bass, guitar, keyboard and vocals. In Cubase I created 6 channels individually labelled kick, overhead, bass, guitar, keyboard and vocals with the corresponding number they are connected to. Once the band were ready to perform the song I pressed the  asterisk button on the keyboard to record the band.
